WORKSHOP ”SENSES ANTHROPOLOGICALLY: CULTURE, SOCIAL STATUS AND SENSES” (2021)
In the series of remote events "Science and Feeling: Are Your Feelings Really Yours?" organized by “Estetikos Somelje” we conducted a workshop. During it, we tried to answer if the senses we feel and the feeling we have are really yours? Do they depend on society, culture and social status? We talked about how our senses are affected and shaped by the relationship between social status, culture and power. We showed how they are understood and explored in anthropology - how they are socially constructed, formed and collectively mediated. We invited participants to try sensory ethnography method and reflect their experiences in order to understand how they are intertwined with personal and collective social and cultural position.
WORKSHOPS AFTER MOVIES FOR CHILDREN IN ON HUMAN< ENVIRONMENT AND CLIMATE CHANGE IN INCONVENIENT MOVIE FESTIVAL
(2019)
After the short films "The Monsoon Show" and "Dulse" shown in the Inconvenient Movie Festival’s program for schools “Inconvenient Movie Classroom” , we had a workshop with students in grades 4-6 about climate change - the relationship between human action and nature and ecosystems. Where are we humans? The Inconvenien Movie Festival topic of 2019 is “We and They”. Here the question for us arise - how does this differenciation is seen in our civilization’s approach to the nature that led to the climate crisis?
